Abstract

Osteochondrosis is a disease characterized by degenerative-dystrophic changes in the vertebral body tissues, which is accompanied by disturbances in the structure and functions of the intervertebral discs. Depending on the location of the damaged tissues, osteochondrosis of the neck, chest and back is distinguished. According to medical statistics, symptoms of osteochondrosis are observed in 50-90 percent of the world's population. The average age at which osteochondrosis occurs is 30-35 years. In unfavorable conditions, the symptoms of osteochondrosis may appear earlier, especially in the case of long-term uneven load on the back and legs and due to injuries.
