Oila jamiyatning asosiy bo'g'inidir va oilalar jamiyatda yashovchi ota-onalar va ularning farzandlaridan iborat. Amerika Qo'shma Shtatlari misolida, o'smirlar bilan bog’liq giyohvandlik vositalari masalasida ko'plab muammolar mavjud. O'smirlarning umumiy muammolari giyohvand moddalarni iste'mol qilish, spirtli ichimliklarni iste'mol qilish, jinsiy zo'ravonlik va o'smirlik davridagi homiladorlikdir. Yoshlar o’rtasidagi ushbu globalizm davri muammosi dolzarb bo’lib qolmoqdaligiga qaramay, ularni bu yo’ldan qaytarish uchun zarur barcha harakatlar amalda bajarilmoqda. Yoshlarning giyohvandlikka nisbatan qarasglarini to’g’ri shakllantirish uchun ta’lim muassasalarida hamda jamiyatda ham bir qancha tarbiya-tashviqot tadbirlari o’tkazilib kelinishi giyohvandlikka ruju qo’ygan o’smirlar salmog’ini biroz bo’lsada kamaytirganini statistika ma’lumotlaridan bilib olish mumkin.
