Синдром Мириззи является редкое и трудно диагностируемое заболевание, вызывающее холестаз из-за внешней компрессии общего желчного протока, вторичной по отношению к закупорке желчных камней в мешке Гартмана. Эта хроническая закупорка приводит к воспалению и изъязвлению с образованием холецистобилиарных и/или желчно-кишечных свищей. Эта патология сама по себе увеличивает риск повреждения желчевыводящих путей, связанного с холецистэктомией, что представляет собой проблему даже для опытных хирургов.
