In organic chemistry, molecular biology, and life sciences, peptide synthesis is a key step in the peptide production process. Peptides are chemically synthesized by the condensation reaction of the carboxyl group of one amino acid to the carboxyl group of another amino acid. Protecting group strategies are commonly used to avoid unwanted side reactions with different amino acid side chains.
