Hepatitis refers to acute or chronic inflammatory diseases of the liver. If hepatitis is caused by a virus, then it is called viral. There is a whole group of hepatitis viruses, each of which differs both in terms of transmission routes and in the degree of danger to the liver and the body as a whole. Hepatitis B and C are included in the group of infectious diseases of viral etiology with a parenteral mechanism of transmission and with a primary lesion of the liver. Basically, these hepatitis are asymptomatic, difficult to treat, often become chronic (hepatitis B in 5-10% of cases, hepatitis C in 50-80%) and often lead to death. In this regard, the problem of viral hepatitis has long been a universal one and, along with HIV infection, requires the closest attention from modern medicine [1, 2, 4].
