Abstract

Hepatitis C is a viral infectious disease that affects the liver. Most people infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) have no symptoms and therefore do not realize they are infected until liver damage reaches critical levels and begins to show changes in routine blood tests and/or severe terminal symptoms.
