Yer shari va uning turli qismlari haqida ma’lumotlarga ega bo‘lishimiz uchun turli xil manbalarga tayanamiz. Ma’lumotlar turli ko‘rinishda to‘planib boradi va ulardan foydalanishimisz uchun har xil ma’lumotlar bazalari mavjud bo‘lib ulardan ma’lumotlarni olish birmuncha murakkab hisoblanadi. Open Street Mapda esa ma’lumotlarni olish, ularni qayta ishlash va ulardan turli maqsadlarda foydalanish anchagina oson hisoblanadi. Ushbu maqolada Open Street Map yordamida ma’lumotlar olishning afzal tomonlari haqida ma’lumotlar berilgan.
