The article is discussed about the use of language in real-world contexts is illustrated by authentic resources. They can be utilized to increase the learner's interest. They can act as a helpful reminder to students that the target language is used by a large segment of the public. Authentic resources can inform readers about the target culture and offer that culture's interpretation of a problem or event. Input that language learners require for acquisition can be found in the rich language contained in real resources. The learner must negotiate meaning with the document itself in the interpretative mode, which is receptive communication.
