Abstract

Ischemic heart disease (CHD) is an acute or chronic disease associated with a decrease or complete cessation of blood supply to the muscle tissue of the heart. It occurs due to the narrowing of the lumen of the arteries of the heart when atherosclerotic plaques appear in them. Blood flow to the heart and its nutrition decreases or stops altogether, which leads to the development of ischemia.
