This article gives information about the relationship between coursebook syllabus and materials in language teaching. It discusses the importance of syllabus design and the role of coursebooks in reflecting syllabus objectives. This paper also highlights the challenges faced by teachers and syllabus designers in selecting appropriate materials that match with the specific syllabus objectives. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for teachers to critically evaluate coursebooks and their materials in relation to the syllabus, and make necessary modifications to ensure effective language acquisition.
